Waxing – Discussing All Types of Waxes in the Market

Waxing is the procedure of hair elimination from the root by using a paste of a sticky coating, such as wax, to stick to body hair, and then removing this coating and removing the hair from the follicle. New hair might not grow back in the formerly waxed area for the next four to six weeks, although some people might see regrowth in just a week due to their hair being on a different human hair growth cycle. Most parts of the body can be waxed, including the brows, face, pubic hair, legs, arms, back, abdomen, knuckles, and even feet. There are various types of wax suitable for removing the unnecessary hair.

  1. Soft wax

Soft wax, also called strip waxing, is used by smearing a slight layer of the warm body wax on top of the skin. This is usually used on larger expanse of the body. It is spread directly onto the body by using either a wooden wand or a roller. Then a strip of cloth is jammed over it and pulled off, expelling the hair. Soft wax even gets to the tiny, fine hair follicle that you cannot see, leaving you with perfect skin. However, this body wax should only be used once on a particular area in one sitting, as it will start pulling the skin cells if you continue to use it at one area, which can cause bleeding and bruise.

  1. Hard wax

Hard body wax is usually used for lesser, more sensitive areas including the face, armpits and bikini area. This type of wax is spread warm, directly on the skin. It is given time to cool down and harden, then it is pulled off in the reverse direction of the follicle growth. A benefit of hard wax is that they only stick to the hair, never the skin. The procedure tends to be less hurtful than soft body wax and can be smeared multiple times, with no damage to the skin cells.

  1. Fruit wax

Fruit body wax is just like hard body wax and is suggested for sensitive skin. It is made with fruit extracts like berries and plum, which means this wax, is antioxidant-rich and contain vitamins that nourish the skin. In addition, it is a lot gentler on the skin than soft body wax, and hence, capitalizes can also be expensive. However, using this will not leave any bruises, and they double as skincare as well, which is a plus.

  1. Chocolate wax

Chocolate wax is another famous option given at most salons. Chocolate wax, which is antioxidant-rich and less hurtful to use as compared to other body wax variants. Chocolate body wax also contains glycerin and different oils like soybean and almond, and is anti-inflammatory, which makes it the best choice for skin that is prone to redness and rash.

  1. Sugar wax

Sugar wax is made from sugar, lemon and hot water and has been around for years. Sugar pulls the root of the hair out of body, it is ideal for people with sensitive skin. Much like hard body wax, sugar wax it doesn’t stick to the skin, only the hair, so it can be put and removed multiple times without causing any skin damage. The hair must quarter an inch long for the wax to stick though.
