As much as waxing is a necessity for personal care and one of the most popular treatments, at the salons, there are many benefits attached to this procedure which are going to be discussed now.
Benefits of Waxing
In our regular routine lives, either we are disgusted by shaving or we don’t find time enough to shave or are affected by skin irritation that is caused by shaving. Some of the many benefits of waxing in this regard are as follows:
Lesser Regrowth in-Between Appointments
When you wax your hair from any part of the body, the hair is pulled from the roots, in turn making your skin shine and feel soft for a certain amount of time until the new follicles start to appear on the skin surface again. However, for the very fact that hair are pulled out of roots, it makes the regrowth process slowed, usually takes three to four weeks, in between appointments.
Regrowth will be Fine and Sparse
As we know that waxing pulls the hair from the roots, which urge the hair follicles to grow weaker with time. Weak hair follicles produce finer and more sparse hair. One thing to keep in mind that this process is relative and it changes from person to person as the genetics define, coarseness and growth of your hair. However, while keeping up with your timely appointments, you can make the hair follicles more fine and sparse than your previous growth rate.
Mild Exfoliation for Skin
Waxing is not something that focuses on exfoliation in its prime sense but when you strip the wax off your skin, it would also strip the outermost coarse layer of your skin, leaving your skin feel more smooth and bright. It is also advised that you get exfoliation of your skin done, a few days before your waxing appointment in order to organize your skin for the appointment. If you have rather sensitive skin, it may appear red in the moment but that redness is likely to be subsided as soon as the pores are closed.
Improved Skin Texture
Waxing has the purpose to fulfill as it removes the excess, unwanted hair, but it also removes the outermost layer of skin, which gives you a silky soft touch and feel. This is not achievable through creams or shaving but only results after waxing. Some waxes also include aloe or butter so as to improve and moisten your skin texture further and smoothen it thoroughly.
Doesn’t Irritate Skin or Cause Allergies
Unlike any other skin care procedure or use of shaving gels which may contain some ingredients that can react, wax doesn’t contain any chemicals which leads to smooth skin without causing any skin irritation or allergies. Waxing can be as harmless as causing zero to little fleeting redness that goes away with time.
Minimal Bruising or Damage
It is unacceptable in a situation to get bruises and cuts when you are trying to achieve perfect looking skin, but shaving can often lead to minor cuts and bruises. However, on the other hand, waxing does not allow for any cuts or bruises to appear and it just strips off the unwanted hair and leave you with silky soft skin.
These benefits can tell us which process should be our priority while opting for a procedure which is being used to eliminate unwanted hair and getting smooth skin; waxing is always the answer to that.
