Lash Lift
It is a semi-permanent treatment that perms your lashes upwards. The solution used for to treat your eyelashes is gentle. It’s not harsh like hair perm solutions. Lash Lift is the almost like a beauty equivalent of a silk gown for your eyelashes; the treatment instantaneously gives them, boost, and an added definition without the use of lash-extensions or any chemicals. Lash lift primarily takes the natural hairs one have across the eyelid and gives them a dramatic whirl.
Process
Prep: Be clear of any makeup before you go to your appointment. You should also avoid waterproof mascara 72 hours before your appointment, as it leaves a film on your natural lashes making it harder for the lash technician to style them.
The lash lift begins with a detailed discussion with your artisan. After walking through your goals (like if you want lashes pushed upward or fanned out), the work begins. The professional separates your top and bottom lashes and applies a pad (made out of silicone) to your top lid. Then follows by gluing your lashes to that silicone pad to start curling the lashes into a deeper perm. Three lotions containing the right product are then applied, and each one sets for 10-15 minutes–meaning the entire treatment takes about 30 minutes to one hour.
Should I Get A Lash Lift?
If you have naturally straight lashes and use an eyelash curler a lot, a lash lift is a semi-permanent solution. A lash lift is also a lazy beauty lover’s dream, since it requires less upkeep than lash extensions, which have a tendency to fall out after a while.
How Long Does It Last?
A lash lift can last anywhere six to eight or ten weeks. This will depend on how quickly your own lashes grow and regenerate and how much care of your eyelashes you take. You can try to extend the results by using eyelash growth serums, but the treatment is not meant to be permanent.
After Care
Within a day after your lash lift, you need to steer clear of makeup, getting your eyelashes wet or any steamy domains. For lash lifts, that’s pretty much it; you can treat them as you usually would, and that also means you can wear mascara. You’re also advised to condition the lashes using coconut oil or a facial oil at night.
Maintenance
Lash lifts are gloriously low maintenance. Since they are your own natural eyelashes, you can still use mascara and lash serum, if that’s what you would typically do. For the first two days following your lash lift, it is recommended to keep your face out of the hot water in the shower, as well as not steaming your face since the warmth can degenerate the solution, reciprocating oil-based makeup removers for the few weeks. If you generally rest on your stomach or side, it is better to gave a brush aside your bed so you can brush your lashes before going to bed, and first thing when you get up in the morning—anyway, it’s a good practice even if you have a lash lift or not.
In an about six to eight weeks, which is generally the natural nourishment cycle of your eyelashes, you’ll start to notice the change when the curled pieces starts disappearing, as the set you had, prior to the new one, starts to replace them.
