As they say, that ‘eyes are window to your soul’, and it is a feature that when you enhance them, it definitely adds a significant amount of charm in your personality. However there maybe many ways of enhancing your eyes, but let us discuss the simplest ways of getting it done.
Cluster Eyelashes
How we define cluster eyelashes is as a group of three synthetic lashes attached to each other. The purpose is to apply them to the your eyelid or directly onto the eyelash with some temporary adhesive, originated to last up to two weeks or so. However, it can often be difficult for one natural lash to support a group of three as it could be heavy, and our natural lashes grow at variable rates. Moreover, application of these lashes takes less than 30 minutes and it is a budget-friendly process.
Individual Eyelash Kit
An individual eyelash kit includes the following:
- Short, medium and long clusters
- Temporary adhesive
- Bond remover
- Tweezers
Eyelash Extensions
In eyelash extensions, one lash extension of applied to one natural lash with the help of a permanent adhesive. And it is to be taken care of, that the lash extension is applied directly to the natural lash only. As the natural lash shedding cycle is often 60 to 90 days, the eyelash extension will also be removed, while preventing any damage to the root, if applied properly. The thing about eyelash extensions is that they provide an undetectable, weightless enhancement to your natural lashes and it does not seem to be heavy on your natural lash too. However, they require a touch between three to six weeks or so.
Cluster Lashes vs Eyelash Extensions
As we have looked into both the treatments, let us compare them to help you consider your likely choice.
Eyelash extensions are considered as a semi-permanent method as the lashes are directly applied to natural lash with permanent adhesive. However, they are an excellent way of creating a fuller lash look. As the extensions are applied to natural eyelash directly, therefore, keeping in mind the shedding cycle of your lashes (60 to 90 days), one would need a touch in between 2 to 4 weeks. It is weightless and the application takes about 2 hours at most.
On the other hand, cluster lashes known as synthetic lashes attached to one another. They are applied to natural eyelash, using a temporary adhesive. This can lash for upto two weeks and the process takes 30 minute to perform.
Application Time-period For Eyelash Extensions
As we have discussed earlier, that application of a full set can takes about two hours and it can be maintained all year with regular touch ups after every three to four weeks. However, a half set of more economical in order to achieve a similar dramatic effect, only applied as a filler to thicken the look of natural lashes.
Taking a Swim Right-away or Not
It is recommended to keep your lashes away from getting wet for the first 12 to 24 hours after the application or touch-ups. Why? Because water can weaken the adhesive before it is set and cause your lashes to fall out. The after care is necessary and mostly depends upon the type of glue use. For example, for sensitive eyes, the glue that is used does not support oil based products or makeup remover around the eye, therefore it is not recommended.
Wearing Mascara – Do or Don’t
After getting the eyelash extensions, if you still want to wear mascara, just use it on the tips of extensions and with a very gentle hand. This will provide you with a pop that is desired. However, using a waterproof mascara is not recommended on any type of glue as it gets hard to remove and can end up pulling off the lashes prematurely in an effort to take mascara off.
