BEHOLD: The DO and DON’T to Look Taller and Beautiful

We are quite content with our bodies in their current state. The fact that we are just human, though, implies that there are moments when we find ourselves coveting things that are out of our reach. To be more specific, a couple more inches of height.

You probably have a love-hate relationship with your stature if you’re like the rest of us (or lack thereof).

Keep scrolling down to find out how each of her suggestions will help you get the length you’ve been looking for.

DO: Column Dressing

One should search for fitted and straight items to get a “column” impression. By doing this, straight lines will be created up and down your body, giving the appearance that you are taller. Have you observed how the appearance of an item (or, in this example, your body) can be made to seem thinner and longer by drawing parallel lines across it?

This is my favorite piece of advice that she has given. Column dressing is one of those things that looks well on almost everyone. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile.

DO: Put on horizontal stripes vertically

Vertical stripes accomplish much the same goal as column clothing in that they create the impression that the wearer is very tall, even if that’s not the case. Although people don’t like stripes in general, you can bet that they will be in a vertical orientation if they wear them.

DO: Pick the Smallest Possible Prints to Use

Even the tiniest prints may create a startlingly large impression, which is especially true if you are on the shorter side. Whereas large prints tend to condense, tiny prints tend to maximize (or you should say extend).

Sometimes these tiny prints may strike you in the incorrect areas, causing some sections of your body to seem broader than you would want them to be.

DON’T: Wear Something That Is Too Tight

Bodycon dresses and skirts will cling to your body’s natural curves and make you seem even curvier. If you want to give the impression that you are taller than you are, it is suggested that you steer clear of anything that is skin-tight. This is the complete antithesis of column dressing.

DON’T: Even Contemplate Wearing Vertical or Horizontal Stripes

It is recommended that wearing thick horizontal stripes is so cool because they “pull the attention across you.” Because you want to direct the viewer’s attention vertically rather than horizontally, it is suggested that you choose stripes that go in that direction. As it is already said, striped clothing isn’t one of your go-to styles, so the fact that you can finally escape them is welcome news.

DON’T Attempt to Wear Chunky Accessories

Fun and daring, chunky accessories are always a good idea. However, they are not very effective at creating the impression of added inches. It is recommended to select footwear and jewelry that are more delicate to get a taller appearance.

Takeaways

Of course, you want to go for a maximalist approach, so forget about your height and embrace those glittery spectacles.

Alway shine and try to be happy ever.
