Volume Lashes vs Mega Volume Lashes

The thing between mega volume and traditional volume is the amount of false lashes used to make a fan and the length of these false lashes. Each volume lash uses 6 to 16 false lashes with wideness counting from 0.03 to 0.05 mm whereas a volume fan will use 2 to 5 false lashes with breath from 0.05 to 0.07 mm. the lashes other than the traditional volume lash allows for a denser and bolder look  since it uses these light-weight fans with various extensions.

The Measurement

The normal weight of a volume fan is managed by controlling two main variants:

1. How many false lash fans can be used to make a fan. This is also referred as “D” for dimension.
2. The length of the extensions used to create a fan.

A normal and dense natural eyelash will be able to hold up a heavier volume lash than a thin natural lash. Keeping up healthy lashes should always be the main priority.

Let’s dive into an example.

A client with healthy natural eyelashes should handle 0.15 mm diameter classic extensions (only one extension on the natural lash). Using this as a baseline, the same client should also be able to handle the following volume fans;

• From 4D volume fans using 0.08 mm diameter extensions.
• From 7D volume fans using 0.05 mm diameter extensions.
• From 12D volume fans using 0.03 mm diameter extensions.

Amazingly, there is a not so great relationship between the amount of lashes in a hair and proportions. To keep the heaviness of a hair constant, if the number of lashes goes higher, the diameter must lower. If the diameter goes higher, the number of lashes must go lower.

Negative Space in a Volume Fan

Negative space in a traditional extension strand is the space that would normally be occupied by a single false lash when comparing the volume fan to a single extension.

A volume fan made from three 0.07 mm extensions generates a lot of negative space when put side by side to one single 0.15 mm false. This explains why this volume fan is not thicker.

An extension strand generated from seven 0.05 mm extensions results in a lot of negative space when put side by side to each 0.15 mm extension. This explains why this volume fan is not thicker.

An extension hair created from twelve 0.03 mm extensions generates a lot of negative space when put side by side to each 0.15 mm extension. This explains why this volume fan is not thicker.

Are 4D Volume Lashes Safe?

Yes, 4d Volume lashes are safe just like normal volume or classic are. Nonetheless, they are definitely more complex. They require a great level of expertise and professionalism in order to assure that the weight of the extension is not too dense for the natural lash.
