Eyebrow Threading
Eyebrow threading is also a succession technique, originated primarily from Asia. Most beauticians will sit down with the client to get to know what they want, keeping the shape and coarseness of the hair in contention. Then, they will sanitize and clear the intended skin. Clients are instructed to keep their eyes close and to actively tighten their skin surface whilst the procedure.
Brow threading can get a little complex. From this, the technician uses a sanitized thread, particularly with anti-bacterial wax, and pulls that thread into a triangular loop that exfoliate hair from the follicles. Afterward, trimming around the cleared skin will create the intended result.
What Is Eyebrow Waxing?
Brow waxing is also a longing methodology, where the beautician uses a spatula or stick to smear hot wax on the target skin. Strip is then applied to the area of skin with the wax and is surfaced and pressed across the skin, then cleared away abruptly. The hair is cleared from the root, giving off intended result. Usually, a moisturizing lotion is then applied afterward to ease the pain and soreness.
Brow waxing originated in region of Mediterranean and middle-eastern world where women typically have coarser and thicker growing hair.
Pre-Waxing or Threading Methods
Good hygiene from the client and beautician should be strictly followed to stay clear of pimples after. Cleaning your face and removing excess oil could prevent potential discomfort.
1. While waxing, clients should strictly avoid AHA (alpha-hydroxyl acid) products since the chemicals are dangerous and can make the skin prone to burn or rupture.
2. No makeup! While threading the skin, it could clog follicles and result in formation of pimples or blackheads.
3. Steer clear of sunburns or sun tanning that can increase the chances of skin irritation. Brow threading before and after could hurt with these harmful additions.
Is Threading Better Than Waxing?
If you have undesired hair, you probably have used waxing as your primary removal method. Unfortunately, it is harsh on sensitive parts of skin and can cause burns and skin irritation. Not to mention that many of the chemicals contained in traditional wax formulas are potentially harmful for your surface.
1. No Dangerous Chemicals
At times, store-bought wax includes harsh chemicals that are deteriorating for your skin. These ingredients may include resins, carcinogenic, artificial fragrances, and harmful dyes.
With threading, however, one does not have to worry about anything. The clearing method uses only soft cotton swabs and threads, nothing more.
2. Good For Sensitive Skin
Particularly clients with sensitive skin often complain of hair removal due to chemical reactions and skin irritation. Waxing, creams, and even tweezing can leave skin red, exposed, and inflamed. However, with threading, there is little contact with the skin thus, no skin damage. Threading is an ideal alternative to waxing for ones on prescription acne medications as skin is thinner and more sensitive in those areas.
3. Procedure is Much Faster
Another amazing thing about brow threading is that it works much faster as compared to plucking. Rather than pulling individual hair out one by one, thread grabs one line of hair at once, clearing it instantly. Threading brows and other unwanted facial hair is quicker than sugaring and even other organic waxing techniques since there is no wait time for anything to dry or harden. The hair is just gone!!
