Here’s Why You Should Not Get Hybrid Lash Extensions?

Here’s Why You Should Not Get Hybrid Lash Extensions? Hybrid lashes are a pair of classic and voluminous extensions mixed. The two lash application methods are fused, that’s why they are called hybrid lash extensions. In this process, natural lashes are combined with a faux lash extension to give it a volume, thickness and length. This procedure let the technicians feel creative and innovative with the lash extension skills. Hybrid lashes also give a classic long length to give a natural and magnificent look. This method is not taught to the technicians. One has to be little creative in amalgamating the two lash extension methods. To be careful in using hybrid lashes, one must be expert and extremely trained in extend and Russian volume lash attachment. One can also apply these extensions with express lashes. Express lashes refer to the mixture of cluster lashes and individual extensions together.

Hybrid vs Classic vs Volume Extensions

Classic Lash Extensions

Classic eyelash extensions are basic, stunning , natural-looking lash extensions. They are glued on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is applied to one natural eyelash. This allows you to get a natural improvement. Classic eyelash extensions come in a variety of materials, thicknesses and styles, and part of the aestheticians practice course covers the specifics. Classic eyelash extension procedure typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours and the results should be soft, natural-looking lashes. Classic eyelashes won’t add much volume but will add length. Classic extensions give an even lash line that opens up the eye.

Volume Lash Extensions

Volume eyelash extensions differs from a natural look which adds some length and thickness, to a very dramatic and full look. The lashes range from 2D-6D and anything over a 4D is going to appear that your client is wearing a strip versus a natural look that classic and hybrid extensions would give. This technique can be done with pre-made fans or the strips can be made by hand using a special tweezer. The fans are still glued to natural lashes but they come in .03, .05, .07 which are lighter than classic extensions. It usually takes 2-4 hours depending on whether or not the aesthetician uses pre-made fans.

Hybrid Lash Extensions

Hybrid lashes are a 70-30 mix of both classic lash extensions and volume lashes. Choosing hybrid extensions gives the clients the best of both worlds. The look is done by mixing classic lashes and volume lashes placed technically to frame the eyes. Hybrid extensions offer multiple textures and more volume, but without the sometimes-unnatural look of volume lash extensions.  For the clients that want a lash line with some extra thickness but not quite as full as volume extensions, then this is the technique to go.

Which One Should You Choose

Classic lashes requires very little prep, so they’re more affordable if budget is a problem to your clients. Volume lashes require a higher level of skill and the aestheticians time, as they make the fans beforehand.

Any method is a good option for the clients, it really depends on the look your client desires to have, budget and the skillset of the technician. Hybrid extensions being the most voluminous and expensive are chosen by very few clients.
