As the world has shifted to social distancing and staying-in regime, because of a worldwide pandemic, our very regularly scheduled beauty appointments have become a past perspective. Therefore, getting your nails done, haircuts, manicure, pedicure, facials, all of it seem like a bizarre idea when someone wants to step out for In-salon services. However, as much it sounds fine to go through all the beauty treatments at home, here is something that you need to realize before you try lash lifts at home. Some services are meant to be done by professionals and lash lift is one of those beauty treatments.
Procedure for Lash Lift
Lash lifts should be simply known as perm for your lashes. In basic considerations, if we try to define the procedure for Lash lifts, it begins as the client lie on a sofa in a relaxing position and closed eyes. After that, a professional comes in to fixate a cringe rod to your upper eyelid, through a silicone pad that doubles as a guard, and a mild adhesive to stay intact. The guard is slope-shaped as it provides foundation to your lashes as they curl, slathered in perming lotion.
Basically, the length of your lashes decides the size of curling rod to be used for your lash lift procedure, as the lashes are brushed back to be shaped in a curl, through the use of chemicals. All this adds up to the fact that it is in fact a complicated procedure. That brings us to the same fact again, it is not a procedure that can be performed by oneself at home.
Why Lash Lift Shouldn’t be Performed at Home
As we have already discussed that lash lift is a complicated procedure and it is to be performed at a very sensitive area. We know that eyes can easily get irritated even when we try cosmetics that contain chemicals and accidentally slip into the eye and soar up. Therefore, the professionals say that you would still be ruining your chances to pull off a lash lift as it become very troublesome if the formula gets into your eyes.
Secondly, in a lash lift procedure, a professional is working very closely with eyelids and given the fact that their skin barrier is so thin that it is easily susceptible to irritation or infection. Worst case scenario can be if it takes away your eyesight, chemicals can ruin your life if not handled properly. The very reason, once again, that these products are to be used under supervision of knowledge.
Conclusion
Technicians have to go through months of training and practice to be able to perform a lash lift properly, and that is how they get certified for the job that they do. It is impossible to perform the same job at home that a certified profession does with extreme care and measures. It is only better to understand the dynamics of this procedure and do not indulge in possible self harm, just make an appointment and get it done from time to time. Now, if you were thinking about experimenting with your eyes and eyelashes, it is advised to not get into any mess before it is too late.
