Eyebrow Lamination

Eyebrow lamination can realign the brows to give you the shape that you desire. This procedure solves the issue of unruly brows by creating volume, length, and intense looking brows instead.  The results may last for 6-8 weeks.

It is a two-step process. The first step involves a solution being applied to the brows to make them softer or more malleable. After this, the brows are brushed into the desired shape and a laminating solution is applied to keep them in place.  The applied solution is a protein composition of keratin and silicone incorporated together, that will encourage your natural brows to grow and protect them.

How to Prepare For Brow Lamination

Honestly, there is no “pre-preparation” for getting a brow lamination. One thing that one need to keep in mind is that you cannot get your brows wet for next 24 hours; thus, make sure to schedule your appointment so you can avoid water contact.

What To Expect During a Brow Lamination

After you have had a patch test and you have the okay, the whole process only takes around 30 to 45 minutes. Beautician starts by cleansing the brows and drafting out the shape that one wants their brows to be. Then threads any stray hairs to get a good initial shape.

Then client will then have fluffed up brows using a tool and solution that holds the hairs into a straight, desired shape. Straightening lotion is then applied on to the hairs, they are placed under clear wrap, and left them be for half an hour. This solution opens the hair follicles, shaping the brows. After the intended time, the lotion is cleared out.

For Sensitive Skin?

It is recommended to stop use of skin treatments for at least 2-4 weeks prior to your appointment. If your skin is typically sensitive to waxing, touch, or facials then you may experience redness and prolonged redness after this service. Every persons skin is different and your beauty professional recommends a consultation & patch test if you are unsure.

Lasting Time-Period

Just like the hair on your head, your eyebrow hair sheds and re-grows in a natural cycle. Brow lamination typically lasts four to eight weeks, depending on the speed of your body’s natural hair growth cycle. Luckily, regrowth and fading from brow lamination are very gradual, so your eyebrows will look full and fluffy long enough for your next touch-up appointment.

Brow Lamination After-Care

It is strongly recommended to keep your brows dry and away from heat and steam for at least a day. Directing your brows routinely with a clean brush and applying an oil onto the brows, in order to keep the hair hydrated.

Out for at least three weeks before the appointment to help achieve the best possible shape.

More Manageable Brows?

For Curly or Coarse Brows?
