Volume eyelash extensions can be called as the latest trends to take the eyelash extension industry by storm. The technique originates from Russia, where lash pioneers created a bouquet of lashes, fanning out two or more lashes and placing them on to a single natural lash to create the fullest sets that were unprecedented with classic style extensions. 6D Volume lashes are made up of 6 individual strands and offer a dramatic, made-up look perfect for achieving the look of thick mascara without having to apply any mascara at all. The Volume technique uses specialized eyelash extensions that are of a mere 0.07mm diameter (sometimes even 0.05mm) to make this possible without damaging the natural lashes.
Benefits
- The main benefit of the volume technique is that, it has made it possible to give full, voluminous sets of lashes even if you have sparse, fine lashes naturally.
- The finish is much softer, fluffier, and multi-dimensional.
- Due to the lightweight of the extensions, it has been known to last longer than classic extensions on some clients.
Provides Volume and Fluffier Uniformity
Designed to provide as much volume as possible, but in a way that does not overload or damage the natural lashes. They last longer than classic eyelash extensions due to their lightweight and the amount of lashes applied. Using finer lashes in greater quantities, a much fluffier look is obtained. Due to the uniformity of the fans a neater look is achieved over other multi-lash techniques.
Method of Using
The Volume extensions are all hand made on the spot – your technician makes each bouquet, carefully fanning out multiple lashes using their tweezers right before attaching them to your lashes.
The procedure is very delicate and much more intricate than classic extensions; absolute precision is a necessity. Volume lashes are made from a variety of different ultra-fine synthetic fibres. The most common and popular type used by professionals is synthetic Mink. These create the illusion of thicker, fluffier lashes. The term 6D in the volume technique is used to describe how many lashes are in the fan or bouquet of lashes. 6D means 6 lashes are placed onto one natural lash. One 6D fan is equivalent to one 0.20mm lash, hence these sets are recommended for clients with strong lashes to begin with.
The procedure is not for the impatient, the treatment can take around 2 – 3 hours, depending on the look a client is after, and you can be assured of an absolutely stunning, long lasting look. Volume lashes are superfine and incredibly light and is a process where 2 – 6 thinner lashes can be applied onto one natural lash to create incredible volume on any type of eyelash. Having more than one lash placed on to a host lash isn’t exactly new, layering or feathering as its sometimes known, is a standard technique which most technicians are taught when they do their advanced training.
Precautions
- For the first 48 hours, we recommend that you avoid water contacting your lashes.
- For the first two days after your treatment, avoid saunas, steaming, swimming and washing your face with hot water.
- Do not use waterproof mascara on your lashes.
- Make sure you use an oil-free makeup remover.
- Do not rub your eyes. After washing your face always pat your lashes dry.
Conclusion
This new technique in individual eyelash extensions is proving very popular. These are best suitable if you’re in search of natural looking, to a full on glamour, no mistaking, these really do look like false lashes but you get to keep them on a lot longer than false strip lashes, and they do look fantastic if you like the very glamorous look.
