Everyone wants a fresh, glowing, wrinkle and acne-free skin but depending on cosmetics and chemicals all the time, isn’t healthy for the skin and rather than making it better, it can damage your skin more. So we’ve got to be careful about what we chose for our skin because it’s the most sensitive part of our body and the most important to care for too. An interesting way to cater this problem is to look for herbal products that can be used to help us better our skin and deal with the skin and hair problems.
Considering the routine we go through, we need something to fresh our skin as it gets exposed to sun, dust and pollution everyday as we travel around for work or education. Carrot Paste Mask
Ingredient that is to be used in this process is our daily use vegetable i.e. a fresh carrot. So for preparing the paste, we need to take some carrot in a bowl, half cool it till it becomes soft. Then we smash it and make a paste. Apply that paste on your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it with warm water afterwards. That will freshen your skin and let it breathe.
Continue with this process whenever you feel like your skin looks dull and dry after traveling or tiredness and the results will be your skin being instantly refreshed. The reason why it works is that carrot is known for controlling sun damage caused by harmful sunrays. It also has its characteristic of anti-aging that helps in reducing the dullness of the skin and makes it look more soft and radiant.
Baking Soda for Glowing Skin
For this, you will Need 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil and ½ teaspoon honey. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and apply on damp face and neck using circular motions. Leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Moisturize as usual afterwards. Apply once a week.
What Baking soda does is that it exfoliates dead skin cells and also neutralizes the skin’s pH. It soothes the skin and heals any inflammation that may be present on the skin before.
Cod Liver Oil
You will only need Cod liver oil capsules for this remedy. What should be done is easy and starts off with opening the liver oil capsule and applying the oil on face and neck. Massaging for 1 or 2 minutes and then leaving for 0 minutes will produce good results. Rinsing with the water afterwards. And a mild cleansed can also be used. It can be used everyday.
Cod liver oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and D, EPA, and DHA. These nourish the skin, repair damaged cells, and give the face a natural and radiant effect.
Coconut Oil Remedy For Glowing Skin
What we need is Virgin coconut oil. We lightly warmup the oil and apply it as it is on the face and neck. Then we need to massage on it for a couple of minutes in gentle circular motions. Leave the oil overnight and take a good sleep. You can also add some sugar to the oil and that mixture can be used as a scrub for exfoliating your skin once it or twice a week. Coconut oil can be applied every night before sleep.
Coconut oil locks the moisture present in the skin, and it helps in nourishing the skin with vital fatty acids. So it’s safe to say that this remedy works best for dry and dull skin. Its phenolic compounds contribute to its antioxidant activity and give you glowing skin.
Olive Oil
What you will need is 1 tablespoon olive oil, a small, soft towel and warm water. Now what you need is to take a few drops of oil on your fingertips and apply it all over your face and neck. Massage in upward circle for a few minutes to relax and soften your skin, especially your cheeks, nose and forehead. Then dip the towel in warm water and remove the excess. Place the towel on your face for about 30 to 40 seconds. Again dip the towel in warm water and wipe off the excess oil gently. Then pat your dry skin with a paper towel and there you go. If you do this every night before bed, you’ll see excellent results in a short time period.
Olive oil as we know it’s an excellent skin moisturizer and produces a fine shine on your skin, making it glow. The flavonoids and polyphenols present in it protect the skin from free radicals and prevent damage. It also helps in repairing the dead skin cells and makes your skin look better and healthy.
